Is there a datasheet with Horizontal and Vertical polarization gain patterns for this antenna?
Here it is, thank you: Link.
-
Is this 50 or 75 ohms? Will this work with Sprint band 41 (2500 mhz)?
Hello,
it is 50 ohms. 75 ohm is used for coax in TV antenna.
Sprint is using 1900MHz as the primary frequency but could use 2.5GHz.
Our antenna is right on the edge for 2500, it covers 2500MHz but nothing above that, so it should cover stable 2500MHz frequency.

How would I connect to RG-6 cable?
You will need to have RG-6 cable with RG-6 connectors, of course, but to connect the antenna to the RG-6 you will need to order a SMA male to F female adapter. At the other end of the RG-6 cable you will need to order a F female to TS-9 adapter to connect to a modem like the Netgear Hotspot. I ordered the F female to TS-9 adapter in a "pigtail"....it has a F female connector (attaches to the RG-6 cable) on one end and two TS-9 connectors on the other end that will attach to each of the two antenna connections on the Hotspot. If you are attaching the antenna to something else (ie: phone) you will have to see what (or if) that device has for an antenna connector.

Will this work with at&t lte or 4g?
It has for me. It is currently mounted about 20' agl and feeds a YX545 ZBoost Repeater. It replaced a vertical antenna and provided a significant increase in signal strength. No longer use AT&T. Works fine with Verizon.
-
How do I hook this up to my router?
This antenna is intended to be used with a cell phone booster but I guess it would work with a router if your router has provision for an external antenna. You would need coax cable and connectors to match your router and the antenna.
-
What type of SMA connector does this antenna come with?
Depends on your needings (a device you need to connect) we can offer different types of converters with surge protectors (2 in 1).
-
Is this all I need to enhance cellphone signal Verizon and metro pcs or dp i need something more.
You would need a cell phone booster to connect the antenna too. I doubt that you could hook it to a phone.
-
Hi, it's work at the venezuela with digitel 4g? 1800 mhz.
We get 4g witb att.
-
Can two of them be used passively to 'reflect' cellular signal. We have a cabin in bottom of canyon, Great LTE service at top of rim, zero at bottom.
I assume there is no readily available power at the top of the rim to run an amplifier. That would be the best but you could try a two antenna system and see if it sends the signal down to your cabin, worth a try.
-
Could I use this antenna via a splitter to run my cell phone booster and a jetpack mi-fi?
No. Each device will require its own antenna otherwise You would be feeding RF energy directly into the front end of each devices transmitter which would result in damage to both devices.
-
Does this need to go up high, of can it be mounted on a porch or side of the house? And do we need to purchase certain cables, and if so which ones?
It should have "line of sight" to the tower. Low is ok if there are no obstructions. Adapters/cables depend on your current equipment.
-
For lte mimo applications has any one come up with a creative solution to mount two of these polarized at +45 and -45 offset?
Just mount one above the other and use the supplied brackets to set them to +/- 45 degrees. I mount them on a 10 foot fence post top rail (1.375") from Lowes. I use the fence rail for all my antenna installations. Works for me.
-
Is this listing for a single antenna?
Yes.
-
Will this work on the 1800 mhz lte band?
Yes.
-
Hooking this up to my mobile lte hotspot - does this antenna need to be grounded?
Not for operation, it attaches with a metal bracket, if that is attached to a metal pole then the pole should be grounded to protect against lightening strike.
-
What surge suppressor to use in the cable? can't seem to find sma surge supressors.
Not sure why you would need a surge suppressor. This is a passive device/antenna. You may want to consider a lightening arrestor. My unit came with a type N connector. If yours does have an SMA you can get an SMA to Type N adapter and then use a type N lightening arrestor.

Work on 700mhz?
From my understanding of this antenna, it works and receives signals in the 800MHz-960MHz and 1.7-2.5GHz frequency ranges. Again, I have an iPhone that works within these frequencies (4G and LTE).
-
I have an 800mHz scanner radio. The local system is simulcast & I've been told a directional yagi can help. Will this antenna work with a scanner?
Yes, it works on 800 Mhz.
-
Can I place two of these on the same 20' antenna extension? One is for a cell booster, second for a jetpack mi-fi?
Yes
-
Will dual units give the best signal? how do you run two lines to an amp with only one port for the 'antenna in'?
LTE signals can be transmitted in two polarization's. If your modem has MIMO inputs you should orient one antenna at +45 deg and the other at -45 deg. This gives you two de-correlated signals which can dramatically increase you overall speeds.
-
Do you need another booster to use this?
No. I am using three of these currently. Two are for wireless trail cameras that do not have in-line boosters and one is being used with a 3 watt Wilsons booster connected to a airlink. Antenna works great. You'll only need a booster to extend your range if you're in a poor signal area.
-
Does this require a cable to plug into electricity?
No, does not need electric connect.
-
Will this work to get a wifi signal from a tower?
It will work for Wi-Fi in the 2.4ghz band 802.11 B,G,N signals.
-
How do I hook this up to my cell phone for better reception? It's for an iPhone 6S, we live in a rural area with little to no service at our home.
You need to have a signal booster that this hooks up to..it does not hook up directly to your phone.
-
I use at&t wireless internet using their mf279 modem/router and it has 2 sma antenna ports. do i need 2 of these antenna or will 1 suffice?
This antenna is for CELL PHONE booster not wifi.
-
What do I need besides this to boost my cell service? I'm assuming that this hooks up to something? No internet and spotty cell service.
You have to purchase a cell tower booster.
-
Rp-sma male connector is what i need for my verizon spy point trail camera. is that what this comes with and will this work for that trail camera?
This antenna is for a cell phone booster with 50 ohm cables. The connector is quite large so I doubt it is what your trail camera would use for an external antenna. Please contact your camera manufacturer for suggested antenna.
-
I have a nighthawk mobile router with two ts-9 connectors. can i use this device to boost signal directly to router w/o any added boosters/equipment?
Yes, you should be able to get great service using this antenna. I would order the antenna with SMA female connector. The coax jumper on this antenna is only 2' long so you will need to run coax from the antenna to your modem indoors. Order an SMA male to F female adapter. Run RG-6 coax, not to exceed 30' from this antenna to your modem. Crimp RG6 connectors on to each end of the cable. At the modem end you will need an F female to TS-9 adapter to connect to your modem. Best place for this antenna is up high, on your roof or on a tall pole or tower. This is a directional antenna, so you will need to know where the cell tower you are getting service from is located. Point the antenna towards that tower. The antenna is like an arrow. The smaller side is the point, or front of the antenna. Point the front of the antenna to the cell tower. The most important thing is height and having a good line of site to the tower. Don't point thru a big tree, water tower or building. You should have a clear shot to the tower. With a clear shot without obstructions and some height on the antenna you should be able to communicate with tower 20 to 30 miles away with good signal strength. Using amplifiers is a hit and miss option. If the signal to your modem is low or not there, you can't amplify something that does not exist. Even amplifying a low signal can be bad because your are amplifying the noise along with the signal. Best way is to have a good strong signal. This antenna will do that. Hope this helps you.
-
Will this work with a Verizon Internet and home phone novatel unit?
This is for your cellular signals only. If your 'Verizon Internet' is over the cellular system then yes. If the Novatel is a hotspot for the cellular system then yes. If you are trying to use with your home wifi then no. Antenna are built to match particular frequencies - this one covers the frequencies used by the cell phone providers.
-
It concerns me design/quality - wise that they didn't think to include an eylet specifically to connect the drain wire. Should I be ?
No eyelet no problem, the eyelet breaks and then you have no drain. Wrap your drain wire around the cable before pushing the cable into the connector and you will be fine. This method works and can't fail.
-
Will a regular $5 crimp tool from ebay work with these?
I believe I spent approx. $10 on my crimp tool. If you're buying a bag of a 100 of these, it can't hurt to try the cheaper tool. What your looking for is a tool that will accurately press in those little metal tabs (pins) without smashing the plastic fins between the tabs (pins).
-
Do these ends come with pre-insert guides?
These RJ45 connectors do come with self insert guides that make them easy to accept stripped wires. Just make sure wires are cleanly stripped and even. They are the easiest ones I've used so far.
-
Can you use solid copper Cat5e wiring with these connectors. I know it says stranded but...
Their description now says "2-prong for stranded", for what it's worth. I've seen 2-prong pins meant for solid conductors too, so who knows?
-
Will these fit solid 24awg wire?
Yes, it will.
-
Are these for Stranded or Solid core cable?
Solid Core.
-
Are these connectors pass through? Meaning, do the pairs go through and get cut during crimping process?
No. The wires have to be cut to the correct length before they are inserted into the connector. The crimper presses the pins (blades) into the wires. You don't have to strip the wires, but they do have to be cut to length. Not a difficult procedure. I have never seen any connectors as you have described.
-
Are these contacts gold plated?
No, they are not.
-
Are these connectors the type that use the guide bar that you put all the connectors in first or just have to get all the connectors in manually?
This connector requires manual insertion of the wires.
-
Do these connectors have a eylet specifically to connect the drain wire to?
I don't remember seeing an eyelet for the drain wire but I usually just loop this shield wire around one of the crimp ears. Then I crimp it together. I haven't seen a short yet on the 300 cables.
