Do I also need another antenna in the receiving area? Or can just broadcasting wifi using this antenna be sufficient? The receiving building is 50 feet away. I want to do 5 ghz.
If works with one antenna I would not add an additional antenna but it depends on so many factors between. Thanks

Can you show how possible to attach to a wall? I don't have the room to attach the pole you have in your picture. Just want to attach the back of the antenna directly to a stucco wall.
Yes, this antenna can be attached to the wall. Thanks.

On the data sheet what is the red and blue?
The diagram shows reception on the X and Z axis. Basically horizontal, and vertical (zenith).

My router has ethernet ports, and I do not find a n male to ethernet cable. Do I need an adapter?
The large coax connector are what Ham radio operators use.
-
How would I hook this up to my Linksys ea6400 router? There is no external antenna on the router or a place to connect one. 1 usb 4 ethernet on back.
You would not be able to, unless you are very proficient with cracking open & re-sauldering your own electronics. The router has to support external antennas to use this, and generally a directional antenna like this is used to setup point to point links, rather than general WiFi usage in the home.
-
Does the pipe to mount it on come with it?
No, antenna only.
-
I would like to use this antenna when dry camping to pull in distant signals to my laptop. How do I do that?
I had luck with TEW-L102 but be mindful of length and LMR cable size.

If I ran a wire from my router to the antenna in my yard will i extend my wi-fi to my backyard? I currently get no reception in my yard.
While this is possible, there are many considerations. First, the location of the antenna is where your wifi will be broadcast from. So routing the antenna for your access point to the back yard would mean that the backyard would have good signal, but you may have weak to no signal inside the house from this access point. Second, this antenna is a directional antenna, meaning you would generally only have usable signal when in front of the antenna, and little to no signal when on the sides or behind the antenna. Third, a long antenna cable run would require some very high quality antenna cable to prevent attenuation (meaning more expensive cable). In generally, what you are describing (a need to increase signal in the yard) sounds like it would be better addressed by installing another access point to cover the back yard, or a wifi extender. With the directional, high gain, outdoor nature of this antenna it is meant more for long distance point to point outdoor installations (I use it to create a point to point wifi link between 2 buildings 300 yards apart).

What the operational range on this device?
I am getting a quarter of a mile plus.
-
Is this compatible with the rosewill wifi adapter / wireless adapter / pci-e network card, 802.11ac dual band ac1300 pci express network adapter?
Via wireless yes.
-
What protocols can this use?
We were not able to get this to work for us at all.
-
Does it need an inline amplifier?
Works best if you do.
-
What other components do I need for this to work?
You need a cable from your WiFi router/repeater to the antenna, such as "TRENDnet TEW-L202 Reverse SMA Female to N-Type Male Weatherproof Connector Cable(6.5ft,2m)" -- with the connector ends described as "SMA Female to N-Type Male".
-
Can I connect this antenna directly to a modem router?
If your router has external antenna connectors and you get an adapter to match the connector on this then yes.
-
What does this plug into?
Coax cable with an (N) connector, it has a N connector on the back.
-
What do I need to connect this antenna to a router?
I want to stress that this antenna has an N-Female connector, so your Cable needs to be N-Male, to whatever connector your router uses.
-
What do I need to get free wifi through this antena a router? I drive a semi truck and sometimes I park far away from the wifi and would like to add?
First you would need some way to mount the antenna. You will also need the correct cable to connect it to something like an Alpha USB wifi adapter.
-
Do you need more then one antenna to really benefit 5 g? and I dont see a place ground it since it will be outside does it need one?
Most grounding is thru LMR couplers. As far as 5g depends on the radio you are using.
-
Can I add a repeater booster to this antenna and plug it into my nighthawk m1 mr1100 mobile router?
Yes, depending upon LMR connector but be mindful of fcc or local restrictions ERP budget... Be carful with those high beams.
-
Would a regular laptop be able to communicate w my wifi at home?
Yes If it has a standard any A N G B WiFi.
-
Will this work to pick up wifi in RV parks?
Put the antenna outside in line of sight and you should be good.
-
Can I put a ts9 connector at the end of the cable and use this on my nighthawk m1 mr1100 mobile router?
Yes, Amazon sells a connector that will change it keep in mind that for every connector you install drops its signal strength just a little and try and keep the coax length as short as you can to save the signal strength best way to do this is buy a coax that has the right connectors they have them and use the RG58 coax the smaller coax (cant remember its numbers i think its like 174 but way smaller) looses alot of the signal. just look for RG58 coax with the connectors you need. PS make sure you get the correct SMA connector on the coax for the router some times you have no other option but to use a reversing SMA connector to use on the connector that comes on the end of the pre made up cable, also i find this antenna works better than others that or sold.

Is this waterproof?
Yes, mine has been installed outside for a year and a half in the elements, without issue. I doubt it could be submerged in water, but rain is no problem.
-
Could I connect to router via ethernet and direct wifi signal to an ip camera in my shop about 200 yards away? Or is it just for receiving signal?
This is an antenna only, so it would have to plug into the antenna port on your router. You would have to make sure your router supports an external antenna, and that you have the correct adapters to connect this to the router. And once this antenna is connected to the router, it would be the only antenna for the router, so only devices that see the signal from this antenna would be able to wirelessly connect to the router.
-
Will this antenna connect directly to my alfa awuso36nha adaptor?
I believe it will you have to buy the correct cable - make sure you get a cable that covers 2.4 and 5Ghz range and has proper connector for your device.
-
How much speed is this putting out at what ranges?
It is a Receiver Antenna, it puts out whatever speed it picks up from the source. I used it in a RV park to pull in the WIFI that they were transmitting and the Park was putting out a wifi speed at 54mbps and at the back of the RV park (300yds) I was getting 54mbps speed?

My Asus Router has three removable antennas. Does it matter which one is replaced with this panel antenna?
If you router is dual frequency (2.5/5GHz), each antenna is rated for both frequency. I used middle one of the three. You can replace anyone with direct antenna. Very important, point directly toward area you want to target (straight beam like X), it is not Omnidirectional (circular beams).
